The Governing Body has the legal responsibility for the effective management of the school, acting within the framework set by national legislation.

The responsibility for the day to day running of the school rests with the Headteacher. There is a supportive and productive relationship between the school and the Governing Body which results in a healthy partnership.

The Governing Body has chosen to delegate many of its responsibilities to the Headteacher and other members of staff, but has a close interest in the business of the school, and a determination to raise standards and achievements.

The Governing Body consists of 4 LEA governors, 7 parent governors, 4 community governors and 5 staff governors, including the Headteacher
